Join our Team: DJ Facilitator (Part-Time)
The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company is looking for a Part-Time DJ Facilitator to join our team and support people with a learning disability and autistic people to develop their DJ skills, confidence, and creativity. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about music, inclusion, and person-centred practice to make a real difference through weekly sessions and live performance opportunities.
The Role
As DJ Facilitator, you will deliver weekly sessions that help participants develop DJ skills, achieve personal goals, and prepare for FRESH club night performances. You’ll provide tailored support, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and encourage creativity and active participation throughout.
We’re Looking for Someone Who
- Has experience in DJing, music facilitation, or a strong interest in sharing DJ skills with others
- Can plan and deliver high-quality weekly DJ sessions that engage all participants and support their skill development
- Enjoys working in an inclusive, person-centred way with individuals and groups
- Is confident leading groups, managing dynamics, and creating a positive learning environment
- Works closely with individuals to identify goals and provide tailored support to help them achieve these goals
- Is highly organised: plans sessions, prepares resources, completes risk assessments, and keeps accurate records.
Time & Location
Every Thursday, 3.00pm – 6.30pm
One evening per month (first Thursday), 5.30pm – 10.30pm, at FRESH club night
Location: The Wallsend Memorial Hall, Wallsend
FRESH club night venue: World Headquarters, Newcastle
This is a permanent, part-time role paid at £19.82 per hour, with 7 weeks’ annual leave pro rata (inclusive of bank holidays).

Join our Board: Treasurer (voluntary)
The Twisting Ducks Theatre Company is looking for a new Treasurer to help us achieve our vision of a society that values the diversity, creativity and citizenship of people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
The role
You will work with our Board of 5 skilled, committed trustees - including trustees with lived experience of learning disabilities and autism - and the senior team, to help us achieve our Mission: using the arts to tackle inequalities and improve wellbeing by increasing opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autistic people to have their voices heard and to contribute to their community.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 3 years’ professional experience in Finance and an understanding of SMEs. A knowledge of charity finance is an advantage.
- A strong commitment to our mission and values.
- A willingness to promote the rights of people with a learning disability and autistic people.
- Strong networking skills and a desire to use professional contacts to support The Twisting Ducks mission.
- A strategic perspective.
- A willingness to try new, accessible ways of working to ensure equitable involvement for our trustees with learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and an understanding of how to add constructively to discussions.
- An eagerness to build new relationships and become part of a team.
Previous Board experience is not necessary.
