Work History: I first met Jay, the CEO, many years ago when I was Health Literacy Officer for a learning disabilities charity where we worked together on a cancer awareness film. Jay invited me to a Ducks performance and I was literally blown away by the sheer talent and enthusiasm of both players and supporters. From this I became Chair of the Twisting Ducks for some years and my

daughter, Louise, prior to Covid joined The Band, The Twist and DJ Academy as well as taking part in the Open Mic sessions. I have worked mainly in the voluntary sector empowering people and giving people a voice.

Personal Statement: I am really excited about working on the EasyRead project alongside Ema and Jay and supporting people with learning disabilities to take part in consultations and learn more about the world around them. I am a firm believer in ‘nothing about us without us’ and providing opportunities for people to get involved as much or as little as they want to. I love working with

words and pictures and breaking down language and barriers.
