Job role: Lead Facilitator and project manager

Work history: Most recently I was Artistic Director for the theatre ensemble of the Lawnmowers Theatre Company and Drama Lecturer at Newcastle College. I have over 25 years’ experience as a free-lance theatre director, writer and facilitator. My far-reaching productions and co-productions have travelled widely to humble and renowned stages across the world – to Africa, Australia, Eastern Europe, Hong Kong, Russia, and the USA. A vast body of my work has also been welcomed to iconic London theatres, like Almeida, Arcola, Lyric Hammersmith, Shakespeare's Globe and Young Vic. I graduated from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama with an MA in Applied Theatre, and I have a PGCert in Teaching and Learning from Roehampton University.

Personal statement: I am pleased to have joined The Twisting Ducks to facilitate and project manage their drama work.  Through my work I try to challenge bias through an ego-less creative approach. Working inclusively with diverse and often under-represented communities, I unearth ideas and shape talent where I can be of most service. I  explore innovative types of theatre such as lip-synching, verbatim and site-specific performance. My main role at The Twisting Ducks is Lead Facilitator and Project Manager. I look forward to co-creating fun, exciting, accessible and challenging pieces of work with the various drama groups and academies.
